SUN RISES ON GDA TEQUILA PACK DESIGNS
The gift packaging industry has expanded 15% year on year for the last three years. Cert Octavian, who produce over 15 million gift pack units per year, were aware of GDA's extensive knowledge of packaging and their creative marketing expertise and so tasked GDA with providing a range of options for one of their customers (Sierra Tequila).
The packs were to incorporate miniatures of the Sierra Tequila product, coupled with novelty items aimed at providing a fun gift for peak periods, mainly the Christmas market.
The designs were visualised in 3D for market testing though, unfortunately at this stage, none of the product was supplied for testing!
NOT JUST A FRONT-RUNNER FOR DESIGN…
It's simply not enough for GDA's talented designers to be front-running innovators in brand design; they also have to be first to sign-up for the very events they put a face to! There's nothing like being committed to a project!
Kerry Griffiths (pictured), an avid sports enthusiast, was extremely excited to be handed the brief for creating the new brand image for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity's two upcoming events - the 'Walk as One' 5K Sponsored Walk and 'Run in the Park' 10K Race. As well as flexing her creative muscles on behalf of the Charity, Kerry eagerly volunteered her own running shoes, to become the first registered participant for both events!
"It was a pleasure and a privilege to produce brand identities for not one, but two, sponsored events for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity. As a keen runner, there was no way I was going to miss out on an opportunity to challenge myself, whilst helping to support the outstanding work that Weston Park Hospital does on behalf of everyone affected by cancer."
As 1 of only 3 dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK and a world leader in the field of Cancer Research, everyone at GDA is enormously proud of Kerry's determination to support such an important and worthwhile cause.
Who knows, she may be able to convince a few more of us to dig out our trainers…!

GDA Sheffield is delighted to report that one of its key clients, telecommunications supplier ask4, is celebrating a 70 per cent growth in business in the last year.

Since being selected by ask4 in 2006 to create a completely new and unique brand identity and style to support their business growth, GDA continues to provide a fully managed marketing service in support of ask4's business development.
Recent projects include an innovative, 'all-singing, all-dancing' new website - see ask4's own stylised illustrations come to life on screen! Together with an exciting 2008 Student Launch Pack, developed to increase sales and achieve new customer acquisition timed with student freshers' week.

GDA GET ON THE BUSES!
GDA arrived exactly on time and to budget when Stagecoach Sheffield were in need of some creative expertise to help push their '50p student travel' promotion.
Running a fleet of around 7,000 buses and coaches in over 100 towns and cities across the UK, Stagecoach is one of the largest travel operators in the country. Intending to boost its profile within Sheffield and increase awareness of the numerous discounted student routes available, GDA were asked to help with achieving this objective.
Relishing the chance to flex our creative skills, the imminent Freshers fairs provided an ideal opportunity to target our young audience with an attention-grabbing campaign - and the promise of some appealing goodies!
With the huge barrage of gimmicks and literature that students would be greeted with at the fairs, Stagecoach's challenge was to avoid getting their message lost in the throng; or worse, overlooked in favour of a competitor. One way to prevent this from happening was to incorporate an incentive - no student would throw away an opportunity to win a prize, particularly if they couldn't lose!
GDA devised a 'Scratch & Win' competition, offering students the chance of winning a year's free travel with Stagecoach Sheffield; an iPod Shuffle; £15 worth of iTunes Vouchers or a Bottle Opener Key-ring. Distributed alongside strikingly designed supporting material, all bearing Stagecoach's corporate logo and distinctive colours, Stagecoach's stand was one of the busiest at both events.
The 50p Student Travel promotion was only one of the many on-going projects on which GDA worked with Stagecoach Sheffield marketing department. We regularly designed and delivered creative marketing and customer information material that successfully supported and promoted Stagecoach Sheffield.
