Dormer Tools Keep An Eye On The Future! case study by G Design and Advertising Sheffield

Dormer Tools Keep An Eye On The Future!

Engineering giant, Dormer Tools, was so thrilled at the prospect of moving into their new 20,000 sq ft state of the art facility at the end of 2008, that they simply had to share their excitement with staff and members of the public.

The move to the ground-breaking new premises, currently under construction at the Advanced Manufacturing Park in South Yorkshire, is part of a substantial investment at a world-class location and heralds Dormer's return to its home roots in Sheffield.

Eager to make their employees an integral part of the new site, Dormer tasked brand consultants, GDA with designing an innovative AMP 'Micro-Site' - a new portal linked to Dormer's website which allows staff, and the general public, a sneak preview of the site's construction and development.

GDA's solution to the Micro-site brief was both dynamic and sophisticated, offering a true reflection of the high specification build and impressive interior finishes that can be expected from Dormer's new facilities.

News from the construction site is updated regularly on the Micro-site, available either through the Press Information section (where press releases can be obtained as print-ready documents), or via the image 'Gallery' - where visitors may observe each developmental phase of the building's construction.

John O'Donohue, General Manager of Dormer Tools UK, said: "The Micro-Site serves as the ideal way to communicate up-to-the-minute progress on the new site's construction. Now everyone can start to imagine what the building will look like. Dormer Tools has a fantastic future ahead and, thanks to GDA's vision and expertise in Web design, we're able to keep that future very much within everybody's sight!"
